I am a storyteller who uses colour instead of words. Colour is a stimulus that effects the emotions and provokes different reactions. Buildings and structures are rich subjects for my stories. I view them as animate objects with their own stories to tell - of the past, of the people who have inhabited them and the events they have witnessed. They speak to me and I translate their words back into colour. Ruxandra Darie was born in Romania and lives in the Netherlands
